I Love To Sit In Silence

by poetsteve15

If old farm could Just talk.
I Love To Sit In Silence
~+~

I love to sit in silence
beneath the shady oak trees
listening to the songs of the birds
and to the buzzing of the bees.

I love to sit in silence
watching the clouds roll on by;
maybe read a book or sing a song
hear a lone wild coyote cry.

I love to sit in silence
when day is almost done
as the sun slips sky behind the hill
with the painted glow of the sun.

I love to sit in silence
in the cool of evening twilight
listening to the cry of the whipper-will
crying with all his might.

I Love to sit in silence
beneath the moon and starry sky in style
praying to God in all earnest
to be able to live in silence, just for a little while.

This is from a old poem. (I Love To Sit In Silence)
I do not know who wrote it.
But I changed a lot of it to make it my own.
Out here in Odessa, WA, We have lot old abounded farms
that sit in middle of nowhere. This is one of them.
The 2Th poem is the one as I Copied It. No changes to it at all.
That was reason I chose to redo it make it better. I did like idea
of it it when well with where I live, and the art work. from Pinterest.
