A flash fiction
Sarah's gift

Sarah lay on her grandmother's bed and wept softly. She could hear the hushed voices of guests downstairs, paying their respects.
On the window seat was a package tied with string, her name written in familiar spidery script.
With a sigh, she gently opened it and grinned through the tears.
A beautiful quilt, made with pieces of Sarah's favourite, outgrown clothes lay in her lap, warming her heart and soul.
