A poem from 34 years ago.

He Did it For You and Me

My dear friends do you know or care
that Jesus our Savior, the cross did bear?
He carried it friends up Calvary's road,
He stumbled and fell beneath the load.
That day He carried the old rugged tree,
He did it my friends for you and me.
He died that day upon that old tree.
So we dear friends, could really be free.
As He died He paid our sins debt
Do we praise Him for love and not forget?
