A man cannot live without his lost love

Mourning Dove

All alone in midnight cold, mourning
Mourning for the love I lost
Lost forever but n'er forgotten
Forgotten dreams entombed in frost

Frost now my cruel companion
Companion knows naught of love
Love frozen, a new dawn I cannot face
Face down, reposed, I hear a mourning dove
