I wanted to go out and play today,
But bad old winter just won't go away!
I tried to go out and play in the snow
But my fingers froze and my toes screamed NO!

Then Daddy got stuck in the snow with his car.
He's lucky he hadn't gone very far.
Mommy smiled softly as she mopped up the floor
From the puddles his boots had left at the door.

And now I like the snow on the ground!
It can keep on snowing, with me homebound!
I am very happy cause now I can play
With my Daddy who gets to stay home today!
