The phone has changed over my lifetime!

I Remember

by Randa Dayle

I remember when a phone was just a phone;
Now I teach the young ones how to listen for the tone.

I remember party lines, and answering ring two;
Now phones make weird noises, I've even heard one moo.

I remember stretching cords to walk around the house;
Now the things are so small, that they fit inside my blouse.

I remember when they had a rotary type dial;
Now they are hands free, what an awesome new lifestyle!

I remember when you called you had to be at home;
Now you can be here or there, or by a nice biome.
