It sometimes feels like mission impossible, trying to stay calm when all about you the rush and bustle and noise of everyday life is so distracting, so fragmenting. We all need our quiet spaces, quiet times.
Holding your tongue and not blurting into a quick comment is the best path for tranquil relations. When dealing with others, wisdom is better imparted with a considered response, or even remaining silent. (But definitely not "the silent treatment"; that won't promote inner peace at all!)
There is a British phrase: Keep Calm and Carry On.
