Hazy Faces

Sittin'
Some jazz
Late night
Self and sass

A revival
A loan...of time

Alone
In time

Can't repay
By toll of day

When we live
Time dies

Faces come apart
Lies linger longer
On songs
Never quilled

Oh yes,
Time...just dies

My eyes light
Only apparitions, profiles
Of smokeless music

Sublime shadows
A nether world
In time

My, my, my
Slippin'
Away

Come
Drift in me
Paint with me

We'll live
A hazy yesterday
