Whatever Lola Wants

While Lola isn't beautiful
and sometimes she's a tease,
she has a personality
that always aims to please.

There is a stately quality
that's almost dignified.
When Lola looks into your eyes --
she will not be denied.

She's learned to sit upon command --
catch Frisbees in midair.
She'll shake your hand and then play dead
with elegance and flair.

I once thought she was insecure.
She's always on my lap.
But if I try to put her down,
she'll curl up for a nap.

She acts like a celebrity
while walking through the square.
The paparazzi think she's grand
but Lola doesn't care.

She does her tricks to get a treat.
Sweet Lola is well fed.
And then before you turn around,
she's sitting in your bed.

My grandson came to visit for Christmas and brought his dog Lola. She is 80 pounds of fun and she thinks she's a lapdog. Her favorite place is in the middle of my bed.ð???
