True love never ends.

Forever love

by Brigitte Elko

My two gnarled hands can still feel your soft skin
My two eyes can still see your radiant smile
My two arms can still remember your embrace
My two ears can still hear your sweet voice

My one nose recalls your scent, musk, hmm
My one brain reels with loving thoughts of you
My one mouth, over and over, whispers your name
My one heart only beats for and because of you

My many memories come alive in dreams
My many wishes are one and the same
My many tears flow because you are forgetting
My many hours are spent waiting to be held again

I am what I am because you love me
You are what you are because I am by your side
No matter what, our love is lasting
The vows we took are forever binding
