I have wonderful childhood memories.
In Looking Back

Childhood writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt Write a rhyming poem about your childhood. It can be good or bad, happy or sad. No more than 20 lines. No free verse. |
We weren't wealthy, but as a child, it seemed to me that we had it ALL. We were sheltered by the love of our parents and grandparents and even our great grandparents. We were not inundated with electronics. We knew how to go outside and play with the neighborhood kids until we were called in at dusk, sweaty and exhausted. It was time in our small town where doors didn't have to be locked. We didn't go on expensive vacations, but I thought the day trips for long drives WERE adventures and Friday night out for burgers or coneys or seeing the fish in the fountain at the next town was a huge excursion. It was a simple time. It was a wonderful time! Thank you LittleBogie 007 for the digital art choice. It seemed a perfect choice for my poem!
