Reminder of the loss of a loved one

Empty Hand

by Ann Edall-Robson

Carved into a tree
I found a heart one day
A sign the love of my life
Was not far away
Softly the breeze
Caressed my cheek
As he walked beside me
Along the creek
We wandered together
Across the land
His loving touch I held
In my empty hand
