The Storyman

by TheStoryMan

So you want to hear a rhyme
Forgotten in time
That's hidden in a special place
In a box of mine
Stored in a closet
Behind a closed, locked door
Down in a dark cellar
Buried in a dirt floor
For as you see-this poem to me
Was never to be seen or read
And to keep it stored and locked away
Until the day that I am dead
It was given to me
And meant to be close
For it was given to me
By a morbid spirit
I can not recall or remember why
He just told me to hold it till the day I die

This tale is of the storyman
Who could tell a tale so well
For the spirit told me
Oh yes he told me
That he came from the depths of hell

The spirit told me
Oh yes he told me
Of these stories he could tell
For his tales can put you in a trance
Underneath his cold, dark spell

So this tale is of the storyman
Who seeks the secrets that you keep
For once he slips into your mind
He'll be the dreams within your sleep

He is called the Dark Invader
The Intruder from Deep Within
Who will stop the beat inside your heart
And curse it in wicked sin

There is no escape from the storyman
Or the words he has to tell
He is just out and about leaving no doubt
Through the demons path through hell

You can see those under his power
Who are lost and so confused
Befuddled in puzzles through all of their struggles
And covered in his tattoos

So the storyman has escaped his box
And with that there's no mistake
He steals the love that's within your heart
And replaces it with hate

His disease it is contagious
And its spread both far and wide
For the box that held the storyman
Is where Satan hid inside

If you think that you're invincible
That you're safe and out of view
Remember until your fates immortalized
The storyman is after you!

I love the rhyming story always have since I was a child-I find it captivating and unique to be able to tell a story with a rhyme-to me it's the perfect kind of story-it holds your interest and keeps you coming back to read it again and again
