A Great Job For the Unambitious

by michaelcahill

Mono-rhyme Contest Winner
I only seek to be vice-presidential
nothing big, or overly consequential
my thoughts are never existential
no, they are mundane and deferential
I have no need to be the least bit influential
a presidential fear makes me deferential
I like my nothingness existence, (keep that confidential)
it's providential that I lack potential
just sign my check, I'll remain non-essential
and laugh as Mr. President's chores rain down torrential
