What comes after death?

Soul Immortal?

Soul Writer Contest Winner 
Some say that Soul is the life principle that animates our being
Death is marked by the departure of the soul from the body
 
People who say one must have soul to be human
 are mistaking soul for personality
Personality derives from one’s genetic inheritance
plus the sum total of human experiences 
 
In other words
 
  Our soul (humanity) is unique to us
However, we are not just souls, as airlines call us
We are complex organisms, a trinity of mind, soul and body
But is part of us immortal?
 
Yes, soul is an essence, though we cannot see it, feel it or locate
It is real...
 
However, if the soul were immortal when it leaves the body
Causing death…
Is it able to animate again?
Or
Does it exist in another dimension?
Or
Is there nothingness?
