Faith's Cloak

A ragged garment once I wore;

upon the thorns of life, it tore.

Amidst the nettles, still I go,

besmirched and bleeding, full of woe.


But they who dress in Heaven's garb

stride safely past the stinging barb

to dwell beside the golden chair.

              Naked, afraid, I stumble there...
