Senryu You! writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Write a 5-7-5 Senryu dedicated to a person, place or thing. Here's a chance for you to praise your favorite food, or honor a loved one! Have fun!

Helen Keller became ill with scarlet fever and lost her hearing and vision when she was very young. Most blind or deaf people at the time were institutionalised, but Keller's parents were able to hire a teacher for her. ... Keller is famous for learning to speak and read despite these struggles. She became an activist in behalf of the blind.
