Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Memories of a time gone by.

Wash Away This Tear

The sails have disappeared
Upon the horizon blue.
Waves crashing on the shore
My mind drifts back to you

The days we left our foot prints
Hearts drawn in shifting sand
Laughing at some silly words
Only we would understand

Making love on the beach at night
While waves misted in the air
Your head upon my shoulder
As I gently stroked your hair.

You whispering "I love you"
So softly in my ear
Turned my head, touched your cheek
Then I kissed away a tear

The tide now has stolen you
Like foots prints in the sand
Washed away two loving hearts
And the future that we planned

Those memories of long ago
Make it seem like yesterday
Kisses and the love we made
They shall never wash away

So come sit here beside me
Whisper " I love you" in my ear.
Hold me close and kiss me
And wash away this tear

Words I wrote a while back that are more prevalent now then when they were written.. Lost a lot of friends since then.. Lost a lot of beautiful women who were both lovers and friends. These words are for them... I miss them dearly.
