Ancient Rivalry!
Mouse Speaks
"It slinks arounds waiting to pounce,
it weighs quite a bit."
"I weigh less than an ounce."
"Aloof and haughty, like it owns the place,
with crafty eyes and a whiskered face."
"But that cat won't get the best of this mouse!"
"As long as there's places to hide in the house."
"I can't understand just what humans see
in cats, they're worshiped!"
"Not like me!"
"The only thing we mice ever get,
is moldy cheese in a trap that's set."
"Cats scratch the furniture,
'till stuffing flies."
"Then look at their owners with innocent eyes."
"Then all is forgiven, it makes me sick!"
"Can't beleive that they fell for that feline's trick!"
"Their litter boxes always stink!"
"That shouldn't bother a mouse, you'd think."
"But our keen sense of smell,when once applied,
knows cat litter smells like something died!"
"Cat lovers must be a bit insane."
"Must have a lesion in their brain,
to think that cats are better than mice."
"We're also cute, and twice as nice!"
Cat speaks
"Disgusting creatures cross the floor,
their tiny gray bodies, I abhor."
"But sometimes they make a tasty treat."
"The chase is grand, victory sweet!"
"They scare my humans when they scurry,
I hate to have my people worry."
"They might forget to pet and brush,
my golden fur so long and lush."
"Truly I'm a glamorous sight,
those vermin are a terrible blight!"
"I know where they hide,
I stake them out."
"They're fast on their feet,
there is no doubt."
"Yet still they cannot outrun me,
once in my claws they can't get free!"
"They leave their droppings all over the floor,
in places I curl up, can't take anymore!"
"I'll rid this house, I won't think twice!"
"Even if I must eat ALL those mice!"
