I get my revenge on a jerk landlord
Don't bother me it's lunch time
by Earl Corp
I worked third shift. Lived in trailer court, landlord expected grass cut Mondays or he'd cut it for $20. I moved called at 1 a.m. for my deposit.
"Do you know what time it is?"
"Lunch time, I'm gonna call until I get my deposit."
Deposit received next day.

Writing Prompt It's Sunday night here in the US, and that means back to work tomorrow for many. Write a 50 word flash fiction story that deals with the topic of work. Any genre is acceptable. |
50 words were definitely not enough to tell this story right. A lot gets left on the cutting room floor. I know I'm over the word count but if you see a way I can edit it and still make sense, please let me know part of it is due to spaces. I thought I'd try a non Army story out. Tell me what you think.
