My Life

I'm really in the mood to write,
I've been depressed for a fortnight.

It feels good to be back to my old self
and get my creative juices off the shelf.

But wouldn't you know,
I can't think of anything, so...

I'll just tell you about my super exciting life,
filled with adventure and emotional strife.

A thrill a minute, you'll hang on every word I say!
So don't you dare blink or look away,

or you could miss something so profound
and you'll be really sorry.
(this part doesn't rhyme)

Okay, now hold on tight
my life story is about to take flight.
(well, what I did today anyway)

I got up at noon, didn't sleep all night.
Insomnia is a constant fight.

I did some laundry, made a card,
took a nap and slept real hard.

Watched some college football, did my Gators win?
I can't remember, think I fell asleep again.

Ate a chicken sandwich, but there were no chips.
I always feel gypped when there's no chips.

Looked at facebook and FanStory,
read a few stories that were rather gory.

My sister made me some pizza, so ate that,
then crawled into my recliner and just sat.

Watched a few TV shows I missed On Demand,
then I think I fell asleep again.

I know you are jealous of my fun filled life,
but don't be, it's not worth the strife.
(Got'ta go fold my laundry now. Such excitement!)
