Never ending

Strife

by Boogienights

Sitting and watching under a blue black sky,
waiting for night to cover me.

Screaming seagulls flying by,
searching for something we can't see.

Angry clouds heavy with rain,
threaten to wash away my sanity.

How long can I hide in plain sight,
before someone searching finds me?

Lost in revelations I can't accept,
mired in deceits that I create.

What will end my painful trail?
What will finally soothe my soul?

It's been so long since I have slept
free from nightmares, I can't escape.

Clinging to a hope that's cold and frail.
Won't someone come and soothe my soul?
