Still Here

You thrust on me a shrouding cloak
Squeezing me each day and every night
Never, never can I shrug it off
Not in the blacking night or the sunny light
Not in a noisy bar or at a steaming beach
Always, always a haunting, wanting and re-beating
Why did you go?
What did I do?
Where are you now?
I am still alone all these empty years
