Campfire Reverie

Quietly, the log fire snaps shooting bright sparks up in the air
Recalling you and our own blaze that we did often share
Snow filled skies race overhead, smoke trails wafting in the wind
Tonight I miss you deeply rueing rifts that didn't mend

Wrapped snug inside our blanket, I dream of us again
