I was running, leisurely sunning
treading upon Earth Mother
I could have more fun, under the sun
by running more, if I had my druthers

Drifting through the park, quick cadence
"What a beautiful day", someone saying
I heard Meadowlark sing of radiance;
children playing as I was relaying

I breathed the savory odor
of barbecued food on the grill
To the day there was an order,
A sense of expectation and thrill

As the basketball went in (all net)
The dominoes were slappin' (Gimme 10)
Gentle breeze sent in (Fall met)
Giving thanks for the food (Amen)

It occurred to me that everything-
was happening in syncopation
The bird flew away, opposing  swing-
to all there was a logical relation 

I trod up a hill by a mill
where paper is manufactured
All was still, for a moment I feel
 I am part of the overall structure

Where I am, and where I've been-
set the scene for the present
What I do, and all that I've seen,
makes the runshine more pleasant

A song playing in my mind-
takes me back to another time
It brings a whole emotion, I find-
this feeling is superbly sublime

I feel free, I am getting high
on my second wind, I  descend
Being truly me, going to try,
this mental anguish to mend

My mind racing, feet pacing-
a beat that is in synch,
with another athlete, bracing
In another space, to go into the rink

We work together, seperately
to weave a mandalic design
Threads woven through you and me,
in a manner that twists and twines

If you study the shape of this fabric
It would resemble our DNA
The double helix, deep and thick,
Oh, and by the way 

Have you heard? Did you know?
That we are all connected!
Be smart, because where you go,
after this will be directed

By Everything that you do and say,
 all that you are beckoning
Because there will come a day,
when there will be a reckoning

Time flows like a river
that waters thirsty souls
Be a generous giver,
as the cosmic wheel doles:

Exactly what is given,
heed my sound advice
Then you too, will be driven
to be correct and concise

Live- laugh- cry, then try
then try a little harder
Because when you die,
you can no longer barter

The time is
Now,
this is all
Real
Search for
How-
to fully feel
 
The immensity and intensity
of the True Meaning-
Invest in this propensity, 
 toward wisdom you'll be leaning

Listen more,
talk less
Do your chores,
and be blessed

In this manner, you will be able
to bless others, and enjoy
the benefits of being more stable,
as these woven forces you employ

Help me weave this tapestry,
together we can work 
then, in the end you will see
that you did not shirk

The responsibility
of doing what is Right
which first came, you see
from The Source of Light

Which surrounds,
abounds,
confounds,
and astounds.

Now,
how does that sound,
Pleasant?

Then:
Live in the
 present,
never forget the
past,
and plan for and
~ expect~
a bright future
