Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear

by giovannimariatommaso

when they should shoot me
shoot me dead
let me not linger long in
a sultry bed

make it quick & make it final
forget the balance of the end
for I have committed my spirit
in the hands of the Lord & trust

He is my shepherd without fail &
He knows the way for he has trod
gone before me in inaccessible light
to sit at the right hand of the Father

we do not look forward to it out of fear
yet we ask the Father as He draws near
& He gives us the example of His only Son
Jesus Christ our Lord the Messiah the chosen one

They in this poem is not a particular group of hidden people (human beings) but the they without whom we have no life & no control of our human bodies as we age chronologically, the way that follows order, for life is a prescribed set of happenings, circumstances, & situations, that we have no real knowledge of or control.
