The day is new here in the The DSA
where out of one, many rules the day.

Thinkers vs not in a winner-take-all,
with the pillars of our democracy about to fall.

It's a battle between us, a battle for our souls,
with our morals and beliefs being raked over the coals.

Unrecognizable to me, tell me what you see?
Like looking through the kaleidoscope of unreality,

'cause it sure isn't the version I'm seeing.
What I'm seeing has shaken me to my being.

I used to believe in the better angels of our nature,
to said angels, I now wave a hearty 'bonsoir'.

They've flown away. Even they've had enough.
To pull out of our nosedive is gonna be plenty tough.

What does it say about you you think everything's fine?
Here's normal, here's WAY over there, over the line.

Where you see the same as we've always been,
I see a fragile framework about to cave in.
