The pain burned white
deep on my pillows,
as the lure of your smell
faded every hour,
where every minute melted
agonizingly with time.

Woefully,
these numb walls
have housed the hurt,
as the door shut itself
when you bid goodbye
for that malevolent other.

For I don't remember
