A devotional about not worrying
Worry Devotional
by Justin Chopin
Worry Devotional
Definition: To think about problems or fears. To feel or show concern because you believe that something bad has happened or could happen to you.
Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Devotional: I would be a total hypocrite if I were to chastise you about worrying. I can be an anxious mess of a man constantly fretting over things I have no control over. Let's just be honest with ourselves. We all spend an unhealthy amount of time despairing about family, money, jobs, etc. We make ourselves miserable and allow the joy that God has given us to be destroyed. We become vulnerable to these insidiously stupid insecurities.
To stop worrying, we need to be bold enough to present all of our anxieties through honest and heartfelt prayer to Jesus. Relief comes because we know that God our Father has listened to our requests and will provide us with His peace that will carry us through. Are you ready to stop feeling the crushing burdens of your worries? You can start feeling renewed. All you have to do is to cease putting so much trust in the things you worry about and start trusting God. He is the only one who will be able to bring you back to the joy of life that you had been missing for so long.

Everybody worries, especially me I wrote this devotional to let myself and all of you know that you don't have to be drained by your anxieties that God doesn't want you to live crushed by all of your fears and frustrations but would rather you be live fully in his everlasting and abundant joy.
