An example of chain migration

Chain Migration

by Pamusart

His grandpa fled from constant war
Bavaria then said no more
Deported back to his new town
It's sad to know that this went down
Escape would be to distant shores;
a place that opened many doors
There still was something not quite right
He needed one to share the light

He risked the journey back to home
but did not really want to roam
He looked for reasons he could stay
and met his future wife that way
Returning with his wife in tow
he used the chain migration flow;
became a sponsor for his wife
In efforts for a better life

They had a son whose name was Fred
who never had to feel such dread
Descendents never felt the pain;
how hard it was to start again
So many times his dad just cried
until that day he took his bride
In ev'ry moment; was the chance
that he could make her laugh and dance

The son was twelve when father died
At fifteen, mom became his guide
Fred's wife was also foreign based
and chain migration was in place
His wife now lived inside the states
so they could reap a better fate
Fred's real estate then really boomed
but, something else began to bloom

The ugly face of racial choice;
discrimination found its voice
He'd not allow the blacks to rent
He paid for this but won't repent
Went into bus'ness with his son
Together they would work as one
Son's wives are also immigrants;
but they're not forced to live in tents

We welcomed them with open arms
Our cops protected them from harm
To other people fleeing war,
we will not take them anymore
So, who's the product of this chain;
the man who causes migrants' pain?
Their children's parents fret and weep
and none of them can get much sleep

if Jesus came here from the south,
would he make Donald wash his mouth?
Would Jesus teach him anything;
convince him that he's not a king?
It's doubtful he can understand
the plight that plagues the common man
He doesn't feel for those in need;
forgets that chains produced his seed

Three wives, a mother, grandma too
and grandpa started life anew
His grandpa's son became his dad;
his mom, a servant who was glad
that chains allowed her journey here
No longer did she feel the fear;
was proud to be American;
her son's created from their clan
The diff'rence now is very clear;
he wants that only whites live here

This poem was inspired by kareninas poem about migrant children in which she posed the question of whether Jesus would be welcomed if he migrated from Mexico

Friedrich Trump, the immigrant grandfather of Donald Trump, was sponsored by his sister via chain migration when he was sixteen years old. He, in turn sponsored the grandmother; Elizabeth Christ. Friedrich was deported after his return to Germany in 1904 by Bavarian authorities because he did not perform his military service. Together they had a son, Fred, father of Donald. Fred and his mother, Elizabeth started a real estate business when he was fifteen. Friedrich had built a fortune in the hundreds of millions of dollars. That money was used as the seed money for real estate. Fred married his wife, Mary Ann McLeod, mother of trump. Mary was an immigrant from Scotland. She was sponsored by her married sister. Later, Fred brought Donald into the business.
Fred and Donald would not rent to people of color. He and Donald were sued in the seventies and settled. Donald had three wives, all immigrants.

So, in summary, both of Trumps grandparents, mother and all three wives were immigrants. He is the child of an immigrant who worked as a domestic servant. Merit based for a domestic servant? All of his kids are children of immigrants.

So I have to ask myself why he is so anti immigrant and is against chain migration. He would not exist without chain migration. Then I figured it out. He does not want to let people of color in. He even remarked that he wanted people from Norway instead. Why? His grandfather cane from humble beginnings and worked as a barber when he came here. Merit based? I think not.

So, why talk about immigrants infesting this country and build concentration camps for 100,000 of them? What is the difference between these immigrants and Donald Trumps wives, mother and grandparents? I see one and it is the color of their skin.

Oh and the trump admits ration has closed the places where immigrants can cross legally and request asylum. So in desperation they cross illegally. Many mothers have had their other children killed. One brought her last remaining son after the first two were murdered and paralyzed. She and her daughter would have been killed if the ten year old son did not join the cartel so she left.

I know I will get flak about this, but just think about it. Come up with your own reason. And it is not crime. Both legal and legal immigrants commit less crime than citizens do. They are fleeing violence not causing it.

Thank you for reading my poem
