Walking as Children of the Light

by poetwatch

As we walk in the shadows of night,
We are led by the hand.
We are the children of the Light
Born from love in this land.
We dwell in the arms of heaven
As angels brighten the way we go.
Your hard heart fears, for you are driven
Like an ass set on one course, you know
Nothing for that carrot dangles before you.
You have awakened the sleepers from the dead.
They shall arise to haunt you and your crew...
For the children... your bed will fill with dread.
You have stumbled on your split tongue
With words that birth on lies.
Better a millstone on your neck be hung
Then to see the tears in our children eyes.
Your lies make the people unhappy,
But hurt the children and they lose reason.
Hear them crying, "I want my mommy, my daddy."
Mister P. Trump, I guess all demons have a season
When they walk the earth
Raising hell with their walls of deceit.
So waste your words for what they're worth
Like a bird go tweet, tweet, tweet.

I live in a border city, Brownsville, Texas. This is happening before my eyes. The skies are crying and the thunder roars. What kind of nation have we become? I write this with tears in my eyes, but I had to do it, for I felt a need when I wrote, "Sing praise to the Father of the Light for through His eyes you shall see."
