No matter what happens in life you can overcome it

The change starts with you.

I say thank you to those whose abuse I endured as a child.
In spite of them, I made it through to the other side, feelings reconciled.
I believe after a bad experience how your life turns out... Well you get to choose.
All things happen for a reason maybe it's for the World to Change and have different views.

Do I let the ones filled with evilness and hatred win this fight?
No way in hell, I made it my plight!
Back then I was a young child with no choice but to survive.
I knew at that point I would make a change if I came out of it alive.

I didn't persevere just for myself and my struggle, that's not what it's about.
I did it for all those that don't have a voice, or a way out.
I've always remembered and believed,
you make your own choices, you are what you achieve.

If life gives you hardships and makes you bleed a bit.
Pick up the pieces, become a better person, don't quit.
So those who have hurt you, oppressed you, and tried to hold you back.
They won't have succeeded in their evil plot, you must stand tall and attack.

Together we choose the outcome we determine our own fate.
We can stop the cycle with love and stop the hate.
The ones that once abused me had control of my life, my emotions, my soul.
I hope they can see I've changed my destiny and that I chose to stop the abuse and reach unreachable goals.
