Herman Gordijn was a famous Dutch painter.
He painted this painting, called Lida Polak.
She was not Polish but Dutch. (joke)
We owned the painting when we tried
to emigrate to Turkey. That failed in no-time.
We literally fled back home.

Robert-now deceased-
since 15th December 2017,
pressured me into agreeing
selling Lida. As it would be worthless
in Turkey. My-oh my. Art has value
because of its beauty and not its value.

Herman died in 2007-alas.
They are in museums now.
Then they can't be bought.
If they are in private hands,
I'd like to buy it back.
And keep it in my custody
for the rest of my life on Earth.

I went to a neighbour at the first floor.
He's been in auctions for many years.
He'll look into it for me, and
Maybe I'll know more at the end of the week.
If Lida is for sale, he helps with the bidding.

I could have killed Robert when I discovered this.
But how can you kill a dead hubby?
Stab him through his chest?
That is not at all possible,
because he was cremated.
Kiss him till death do us part?
Filthy all this ash in your mouth.
Strangle him? But what do I achieve?
Peace on Earth? I am calmer now.
He's is dead and unfortunately
will stay dead in Heaven or Hell.
