The skies are blood red
reflected in the murky pond
As I cast my line into
the dark waters
circles move from the spot

The lure bobs to and fro
as my thoughts look for calm.
I hope to hook something
to cure my hunger
for a solution to this problem.

I need to lock it in a chest
and never have to deal
with it again
