Red Rose of meditation

Red Rose

by Pamusart

I bask in the glow of a golden spring morn
As sunshine begins and a new day is born
This day will have chores that will need to be done
And, some of the time, I will feel like I've won
I'll travel to work on my usual route
Through traffic's loud horns that are starting to toot
My radio's tuned to the station I like
I'm telling the honkers to just take a hike

From deep in my mind, a young flower appears
It keeps thoughts at bay while my memory clears
Imagine the scent of a lovely red rose
And how it will cover the smell of your woes
In times of renewal, it always comes through
And makes me so mellow, I'll never feel blue
Arriving at work, but with no place to park;
Garages are full and men's faces are dark

Still, nothing can mess with this mood that I'm in
My little red rose is now helping me win

Recognized

I am pronouncing route like the Brits do rhyming with root

The red rose is where I go when life gets hard. Meditate

Thank you for reading my poem

I found the spectacular photo on the internet.
