Emotional prisoner

by Blue Hendrix

I feel like a prisoner in here.
With your rules and your oppression.
Your message is perfectly clear.
It's your motives that I question.

Are my actions from the past,
really the blame.
Or could it be your heart made of glass.
I truly think that you're insane.

I shouldn't have to be penalized,
for behaviors I've turned away from.
If I filled my soul has been sanitized.
Why am I under your thumb?

You can't keep me locked up forever.
One day very soon I'll Escape.
Though you feel you're harsh sanctions are clever.
I feel emotionally raped.

Please let me out of this cell.
At least for a small little breather.
Please release me from this hell.
I need my freedom to leave here.
