Missing someone.

Love's Wanting Heart

by Susanjohn

Long, hopeless night,

when veiled moonlight

rains storms of sheer despair ...

sharp, piercing ache

as heartstrings break,

no longer grief -- forbear.

Love's wafting tides

distance divides ...

chapfallen solitude.

Each moment lost

bears heavy cost;

now, fretful thoughts delude.

Bedimming mist's

stronghold; resist ...

soothe loneliness, pray tell?

Life's twisted course

sustained, held force ...

my heart is where you dwell.

Clouds billow near,

cannot see clear ...

dark hours I have cried.

Left bittersweet,

we're incomplete;

just hurry to my side
.
