An Anaphora asking, have you heard a bird without a song?

The Raven's Song

by Henry King

I have been to a sing in
I have been to a sit in
I have been to a sleep in
Have you heard a bird without a song?

I have seen a lizard with fringes
I have seen an okapi with stripes
I have seen a deer with tusks
Have you heard a bird without a song?

I have crewed in the blue oceans
I have climbed in the purple mountains
I have crawled in the green grasses
Have you heard a bird without a song?

I have given my mother tearful kisses
I have given my children loving kisses
I have given my wife passionate kisses
Have you heard a bird without a song?

I have prayed in marble cathedrals
I have prayed in oak chapels
I have prayed in adobe churches
Have you heard a bird without a song?

I have heard Pavarotti's pulsating Rigoletto
I have heard Pedro's piquant ranchera
I have heard Pit Bull's poetic rap
I have heard, never, a raucous raven's song

Ravens, among the most intelligent birds, have a bad reputation. Some well known authors have used the famous Ravens guarding the Tower of London as subjects and heroes of their stories.
