Mixed Emotions. Different Notions

My Dear Miss Hard Candy.

by rhonnie69

I want to believe,
every word you say.

Which sometimes bewilder me,
in disarray.

You have me convinced,
But later I find.

You've transformed, converted,
To change of your mind.

You're mutable, yet suitable,
You validate, then annul.

Your changes are driving me,
out of my skull.

Suddenly, that special smile,
Enchanting, charming, for a fleeting while.

Your smile turns to wile, it appears you abhor me.
Then dimples galore, tells me you adore me.

Assurance convinces,
I'm back to my senses.

Or maybe I'm not,
because I've still got.

HOPE that you'll be mine,
My own valentine.

"Friends, just friends,"
You always say.

But I say, "sweethearts,
SOMEHOW, SOMEDAY."

I see lights in your eyes,
When you hear what I've said,

You agree with me,
In your pretty little head.

Again, there's that enchanting smile,
that smile I yearn to see,

Dimples galore,
That tells me you love me.

Hope convinces,
I'm back to my senses.

Or maybe I'm not,
because I've still got.

Hope that you'll be mine,
My own valentine.

Those three subtle words,
They're my bottom line.

"I LOVE YOU."

Truly Yours..."ME."

On and on, no quitting, not even a pause; I'll trek through hell: for a Heavenly cause.
