but could she fly
into the heavens
into the outer skies

a mouth like a trooper
or a damsel in distress
causing havoc a crupper
in real-time stress-duress

she emasculated
eroded confidence
seeking control
in her male-defiance

she surveyed her prey
with an eye to have & hold
with an eagle's crave
justifying femininity so bold

yet the lie of deceit not sweet
in the end did conqueror meat
for her beauty did fade in tweets
& she died in the midst of retreat

too late I think from her appearance
confounded to make amends real
yet my faith in Him to restore & transform
by His grace alone may transcend her pain
