Chasing His Kiss...

by Boogienights

I wanted you to kiss me
the first time that we met.
No interest there,
your attention was
something I couldn't get.
I tried alluring poses,
gave looks that said "Come here..."
But you were looking elsewhere,
my fault...
that much was clear.
So I doubled up on my efforts,
to kiss you was my NEED.
A plan, I knew must be devised.
Didn't want to beg and plead.
I put myself right in your path,
every chance I got.
Called you up to help me out,
I did that quite a lot.
Suddenly...
I couldn't do
the simplest of tasks.
Whenever your help I needed,
all I had to do was ask.
The only thing I wanted though,
was to feel your lips on mine.
I knew instinctively deep inside,
that it would feel just fine!
I'm not sure how it happened,
but all at once the time was right.
Our shadows fell across the floor,
as daylight turned to night.
Somewhere in between the lines
of what is and isn't said,
I felt your hand around my neck.
I felt you bend your head.
Your lips met mine,
we kissed and than...
A second time
we kissed again!
The kiss we shared
felt very right,
my heart became
all yours that night.
I wanted you to kiss me
the first time that we met.
Two hearts were turned
and passions burned...
our future course was set!
