This work has reached the exceptional level
Out of the body experience.

by brenda bickers

I’m floating on a cosmic sphere -- I’m looking down below
at places where I once had been, now ponder where I go.
I feel that’s not the place for me and know I cannot stay,
as other forces carry me to somewhere far away.
I’m heading into emptiness with darkness all around,
where nothing’s here to comfort me -- no sky, no air, no sound.
Yet in my desperation I am shouting silent screams,
while fearing I am trapped inside another person's dreams.
Then In the distance far ahead a shard of silver light
that penetrates the velvet screen and separates the night.
A voice I’ve never heard before soft whispers in my ear--
“She’s waking up, we’ve done our job; thank heaven she’s still here.”

We have all heard of out of the body experiences in situation that are out of our control-- accidents, operations, death. No one has given a definite description that matches what others have seen in this transition. This is just my take on it.
