Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A poem for all the liberated women I have ever known.

My Revolution

by nomi338

My revolution will not be defined
By the way that I wear my hair
My revolution will not be defined
By any of the clothes that I wear
My revolution will not be defined
By the way that I walk or how I stand
My revolution will not be defined
By my raised, and determined hand
What my revolution will prove to be
Is something that will terrorize
As you begin to realize
That my revolution occurred
Before your unsuspecting eyes

Recognized

I am a man raised by my divorced mother and two older sisters, along with my very strong aunts. I grew up knowing how to show respect to women while holding on to my masculinity. I learned that being a strong man who has respect for women is not excusive to each other. Out of gratitude to these women, this poem was born. The image cam from the Istock website.
