I walk through life with a half empty cup,
hoping the things I hear will fill it up.
Seeking reality seems right for me,
while many around us just don't agree.

My optimist friends have a half filled cup,
hoping the things they hear will fill it up.
They walk life happy, free of fear and frown,
while the things they hear seems to bring them down.

So, it's up to you which route you may take,
remembering this, life's no piece of cake.
Sometimes you may win, sometimes you may lose
and it all depends on the route you choose.

The route I have chosen has served me well
and I shall keep at it, till life's closing bell.
