This work has reached the exceptional level
Washed away . . . .

by Dolly'sPoems

It has followed me and got to me,
broke down my defences
Stole innocence with indifference,
has numbed all of my senses.

It has phoned me, sent mail to me,
wrote words of hell in letters,
Trouble’s so slick, it made me sick,
I sent e-mails to my debtors.

It knocked on doors and was the cause,
of my racing heart-beat.
Grey hair once black, a shock attack,
I now look like a dead-beat.

The hurricane that blew my mane,
and floored my every move,
Took my crown and brought me down,
and nothing did improve.

Then one fine day, I tried to pray,
in God I put my faith,
in my dreams I saw moonbeams,
in rays I can now bathe.

For troubles tall, can be made small,
with love, faith and hope,
Stubborn stains inside our brains,
cleansed by God’s good soap.
