Love Messes

What A Mess! Contest Winner
I miss the sound and messes
When children were around.
The many spills and giggles
Filled my home with joyful sound.

Today my house is clean,
No messes to be found.
But, what I'd give for one more day
Of kitchen spills and sounds.

Time moves on and leaves behind
The memories oft debated.
But, the memories I cherish most
Are the messes love created.

Writing Prompt
Write a poem about a mess! As long as your poem is about making a mess, or encorporates the topic of messes, anything goes. Creative approaches are welcomed. Contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner. Now let's get sloppy!
