Faith in Others

Faith in Others

You can have passion in your heart
when you are free;
If a battle meant you lose your life,
how brave would you then be?
We have privilege to live and die,
in relative harmony;
Win or lose, our right to choose
is called democracy.

Those who have never known a life,
without a strict regime,
changes how you live and breathe,
true thoughts are never seen;
can never be expressed or said,
great words are held inside,
fear of detention, creates abstention,
puts all true thoughts aside.

But those who write, fight with might,
cause a thunderous wave,
without fear, they steer their mighty ship,
close to an early grave.
But they will tell and yell and sell,
words become their sword.
Run, leap and race with pace,
to hit a heartfelt chord.

They are the brave, their faith will save,
they are seekers of the truth,
Men and women who fight for us,
uphold with nail and tooth!
Bright spiritual beaming lights,
darkness could never dim,
They shine against the blackest cloud,
these stars will always win.

I dedicate my words to all who serve,
soldiers are akin,
to freedom fighters who stand for peace,
in this world of sin.
Their faithful belief brings me relief,
they take it to their grave;
Those who have fought despite retort,
truly are the brave.
