An Emotion Poem

by Dolly'sPoems

Dreams . . .

Smell like perfumed roses on warm days.
Taste like cream and strawberries.
Sound like the gentle motion of sea waves.
Feel like soft cool sand in the Canaries.
Look like toothpaste swimming for freedom.
Dreams drown in my sleep and die in a mausoleum.

The artwork is toothpaste residue and I thought it looks like a fish swimming toward the plug hole! He he he . . . So I took this photo and wrote this poem. Inspiration comes from the strangest places. My dreams die because I can never remember them fully.

Example of an emotion poem:
Love by Tynea Lewis

It smells like a deep red rose opening in the sun.
It tastes like delectable chocolate melting in your mouth.
It sounds like the birds chirping on a clear spring morning.
It feels like a fire on a cold winter's night.
It looks like an ocean scene painted by God.
Love is unpredictable and breathtaking.
