Just Another Day
by dovemarie
Just another day
Of a price I have to pay
Is it really just another day?
Or do I have something about which to pray?
I think sometimes it's just another day
With more troubles on the way
Or could there still be a chance of a lifetime?
Getting older, yet feeling I'm still in my prime?
I was born on a snow-covered night,
Early in the morn, with stars alight
Do you wish you remember when you were born?
Or would your memory be worn and torn?
We each were born with a name,
No matter our differences, we are still the same

A poem inspired by my birthday coming up Jan. 14. Thought I'd create a new contest too. Thanks to Dick Lee Shia for artwork.
