Life long loves
The Open Door
by Sugarray77
She didn't lock her door and he came in and stole her heart. She hadn't been looking for a relationship, or charm, or caring, but in it came with a stormy day.
Her life was too busy. She resisted the urge to be attracted to his brown eyes, overly long hair, and winsome ways. She had been warned that to take up with him would be messy. The likes of him had a reputation for roaming and breaking a girl's heart.
She had been in a hurry to get home on a cold, rainy evening. Hurrying in with bags of food, she had left the door open. She turned to see him staring at her with longing eyes. She paused, unsure of herself. Then, she grabbed a towel, rubbed him down, and named him Rascal. A lifelong love affair began.
